The goal of our department to serve the public by quickly and efficiently processing the recordings that are lodged here. Each document is lodged in, and then is assigned a book number and page before being entered into an index system. Every real estate recording filed here is scanned into a search engine and a digital index is created.
Our Document Search section provides access to the computer index and the corresponding images. If you need to know what it will cost to file any given document click on the Fee Schedule link below. If you any questions please feel free to call our Recording office at 849-3770.
Documents recorded in our Records Room include Deeds, Mortgages, Articles, Certificate of Assumed Name, Power of Attorney, Veterans Discharge, Lis Pendens, Liens, etc.
In addition, the department is a resource for genealogical research.
The Taylor County Clerk's Recording Department is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 to 4:30. Records can also be searched on Saturdays, but no recordings are done on Saturday.
